Dear Yoga lovers,
I was thinking a lot about New Year's resolutions, and
I realized that dreams and resolutions are constantly
coming true. The biggest hindrance is our inability to
stay "awake" or present as resolutions blossom, and
we often miss the
opportunity to simply be with the beauty of a "dream
come true."
Life can
either be
samsara (without grace) or the garden of lila (divine
play). We practice all the realms of yoga - hatha,
meditation, mantra japam, kirtan and seva (selfless
service) in order to align with the lila and not the
samsara.
In 2007, let's continue to fearlessly align with the
depths of our hearts (the anahata hridayam) so that
we can all be "awake in
the garden" of life as Rob Brezsny, my favorite
astrologer suggests to the lion-hearted.
