My Jesus Year - Celebrate it with me
|
Om shantih!
It's been HOT here in the Big sweaty Apple. In
Texas, we're kinda used to it - where HOT means
Jalapenos and air conditioning. In NYC,
we
get the cooked air - and the air looks mighty dirty
when heated. Eeww. Thank the
heavens
for yoga because your practice can cool you off and
release toxins too.
What I've found for myself is that the greatest
creator
of toxins - is the mind:

Clear the mind of hot, heavy thoughts. As Shri
Brahmananda
Saraswati and Gehlek Rimpoche both say: Open to
the
sky-like nature of the mind. Please join me in
numerous festivities. Details
below.
much love,
Kristina

Cooling Yoga
Wonderful cooling technique:
Sithali Pranayama
1. Sit comfortably
2. Breathe normally for a few moments
3. Curl tongue so that it forms a U-shape
4. Inhale through the mouth
5. Exhale through the nose
6. Do this several times
7. Enjoy the cool, light feeling inside. OMM
I also love peppermint - you can use it to cool
off as an aromatherapy. Rub it on your neck and
chest - a little bit goes a long way.
